Kentucky Derby Run for the Roses Party Recap

The Guardsmen Run for the Roses

The Guardsmen Kentucky Derby Run for the Roses Party took place on Saturday May 4, 2013 at the General’s Residence in Fort Mason.  This charitable event celebrated the 139th Kentucky Derby, America’s oldest continuous sporting event. Guests enjoyed a delectable spread of traditional southern food and savored refreshing Mint Juleps and other libations from our Top Shelf Hosted Bar while participating in lawn games with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay.

The team worked hard to ensure every seat in the house provided a front-row viewing experience with multiple big screens available for every vantage point.   The event also included a raffle and a silent auction, which raised additional funds to benefit Bay Area at-risk youth.  After the race, guests enjoyed dancing with “the most interesting band in the world” and 80’s rock sensation, Pop Rocks!

While the Kentucky Derby may be known as the Fastest Two Minutes in Sports, this Run for the Roses Party was an afternoon our guests will long remember.
