At 33 years of age, this Australian native had the perfect up-bringing of a country and city lifestyle. Whilst going to Catholic high school 'St Ignatius College' and University of Technology in Sydney, during summer breaks he spent most of his time working on the family beef cattle property. There he developed his skills in horse riding and mustering cattle. "On a farm you don't have to pay gym fees to stay fit – just do some mucking about with a shovel in the hay shed."
Between rowing, playing rugby union at school and college and horseback riding on the farm, he has lived in 3 major cities around the world including Sydney, London and San Francisco.
Even while pursuing an international career in Corporate Real Estate with one of the leading global real estate firms he always retained part his country heritage and developed a reputation as an Urban Cowboy. "The country/city combination has enabled me to pursue a professional and international career, while at the same time remain very down to earth, easy going and appreciative of the environment around us."
You can find Damien cycling the Marin Headlands, enjoying a glass of wine at the many wine bars that San Francisco has to offer, enjoying lunch at Sam's on a perfect day, or in downtown San Francisco during the week managing corporate real estate transactions around the world. Damien relocated from Sydney to the US in 2007 with his firm Jones Lang LaSalle, "I have really found my home away from home in San Francisco."
